1.Walking

We chose walking because it is by far one of the most convenient and easiest ways to incorporate physical activity into your life, especially if your body is conditioned to a sedentary lifestyle. Instead of taking the elevator or escalator, take the stairs, and if you are parking at a shopping center don’t be tempted by the closest spot to the door. These simple choices can burn additional calories and increase your blood flow as you tackle your daily errands.

2.Swimming

It might now always be the most convenient form of exercise but it is the best exercise for those who have any back or joint problems. Swimming has the least impact on your joints and can be as easy or as difficult as you want to make it. Swimming works your entire body and increases blood flow. It is the perfect exercise for everybody at every age and condition.

3.Yoga

Yoga improves circulation on so many levels. Not only does it reduce stress, but yogic breathing oxygenates the blood and helps it flow deeper into your skeletal muscles. Yoga lowers blood pressure and can strengthen your immunes system enabling the body to better heal itself. Stretching your muscles and deepening your breath works wonders on your entire circulatory system. There is gentle yoga and restorative yoga as well as more vigorous forms such as Bikram and Power. There is a style of yoga for everyone and you will appreciate the mindfulness it brings to all areas of your life.

4.Bike

Biking does little to strengthen your upper body but it is a great way to improve circulation in your feet. Whether you take a bike ride outdoors or you take a spin class at a gym riding a bike improves circulation. If you are new to biking it may be best to start off light with a recumbent bike at home or at the gym.

5.Dancing

Dancing not only improves circulation throughout the body, and especially your legs and feet, but it can also be a great way to bond with your significant other. Dancing can be fun way to get exercise. While it may not be a daily activity like other exercises in the list, it is a great way to get your feet moving and learn a new skill. Who knows, maybe you really are a great dancer after all.

    This is great advice when you are actually out and about. But my feet tend to get cold when I'm home in the wintertime, as my floors are quite cold. Are there any exercises I can do at home to help circulation?
