The Software Stock Bubble Takes a Hit
If you have any history in the world of software and computers, you know that it is a fickle industry. One year a particular software will be the hit of the season only to be followed by another software that does the job better (or the previous one just didn’t keep up with new and exciting releases). After all, who uses Lotus anymore? (or DOS for that matter).
It was only a matter of time before the darlings of this year’s software ballroom dance began to feel a bit of a problem. Salesforce has been the golden child and everyone on Wall Street has wanted to dance with them. Many of the software companies have done very well in the past years. Unfortunately, the software bubble, like every bubble has to burst and the carriage just might turn back into a pumpkin.
