Vitamin E Supplement

  • Cardiac disease is becoming a leading cause of death.
  • Vitamin E supplements can help prevent heart attacks and heart disease.
  • The benefits of vitamin E on your heart have been proven in scientific studies.

Taking a vitamin E supplement each day can be a good idea for several reasons. Vitamin E offers many benefits, and is essential for good heart health, beautiful young looking skin, and many other organs and processes in your body. As you age, diseases and cell damage can occur because of substances called free radicals, which your body generates as by products during normal functions. Vitamin E is one of the vitamins that is an antioxidant, and these vitamins will prevent the reactions caused by free radicals in your body that leads to diseases like cancer and other cellular problems. Populations which consume a diet that is high in sources of vitamin E suffer many fewer health risks, including the risks of a or other heart problems, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, and many other medical conditions.

Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin, which means that your body can store this vitamin and it is not eliminated with water from your system. This vitamin has been proven to help prevent cardiac disease and prevent plaque build up in your arteries. Vitamin E is needed to protect essential fatty acids and the vitamin A in your body and cells. Without enough vitamin E, the other nutrients would receive oxidation damage and start to breakdown.

Scientific studies on the benefits of taking a vitamin E supplement have shown that both sexes, men and women alike, have a roughly forty percent lower risk of myocardial infarction and cardiac disease. This is almost half of the heart attack risk of those who do not get enough vitamin E in their diet, either through natural foods or by taking a vitamin E supplement. The bes way to gt enough vitamin E is to eat a diet rich in foods that contain this vitamin, but that may not always be possible. In this case, a supplement can help you stay heart healthy as well. The RDA is ten milligrams per day for men and women both, and it is important to remember that this is the minimum amount needed, and your diet should include more than this. One hundred IU is an amount that can help prevent heart disease and problems when taken daily for most people, and a daily amount of eight hundred International Units, or even twelve hundred, is not unheard of in patients who have signs and symptoms of cardiac disease.

Taking vitamin E supplements can help you make sure you get enough of this vitamin in your diet, but there are some things you should look for in a supplement. Steer away from these supplements which only contain alpha-tocopherol, and instead look for supplements which contain other components in the family of compounds that are vitamin E in addition to alpha-tocopherol. Some of the other compounds can help fight certain types of cancer, and you want to use the supplement which offers the most health benefits.

Heart health is important, especially as you age. The older you are the higher your risks of cardiac disease and heart attacks may become. Taking a daily vitamin E supplement can lower your heart risks and help keep the rest of your body healthy as well. This vitamin prevents cell damage and oxidation, so your cells stay healthy and efficient instead of becoming damaged and dying off. Eating a diet that has a wide variety of foods, and plenty of fruits and vegetables, can provide a lot of the vitamin E that you need, and adding a vitamin E supplement to your morning meal each day can provide any extra that you may be missing in your diet.

This is fascinating. Vitamin E is so good for so many things. I hadn't heard of this benefit, but I can believe it. I do take an E supplement every day, and I notice better skin tone and circulatory action, to name but two. This article gives me yet another reason to keep taking it. Not that I needed another reason.
