New Therapy may Help in Slowing Down Alzheimer’s
Pharmaceutical companies are in a hot race to find medication that will slow, halt and even possibly reverse the devastating problems associated with Alzheimer’s. A new medication from Baxter may be the first glimmer that a medication therapy may possible address these issues.
Given as an intravenous medication, the medication was involved in a long term clinical program trial that measured the stability of symptoms associated with Alzheimer’s. These symptoms included: memory, thinking, daily mood and functions. This particular medication was already approved for other immune infections and disorders.
Scientists and physicians are looking into additional research for patients that may be predisposed for Alzheimer’s. This is the first medication that may be offering the kind of hope that patients and their families have been seeking.
