Antibiotic Resistant Superbugs: We Need to be Alarmed
Bacteria and viruses are incredible resilient. They have based their survival on their ability to change and adapt throughout evolutionary history and are some of the longest living that have ever existed. As humans have created antibiotics and therapies to combat harmful bacteria, they have fought back. The latest strains of antibiotic resistant superbugs are cropping up in a higher percentage, ad the medical community is raising their level of concern.
Scientists, doctors and patients are seeing the superbugs and taking action. New genetic testing is being deployed in the war to combat the newer strains of superbugs, with the hope that we can create the next level of antibiotics that will overcome a potential world wide health problem. The study is being escalated, as these superbugs are appearing at an alarming rate.
